From November 22nd to 24th, the final evaluation of the Fifth China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition National Competition was held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. NWAFU's voluntary service projects "Qinba Food Quantity—the Design Helps Rural Revitalization" and "Rural Revitalization Aid Service Group" stood out in the competition and won two bronze awards.

Qinba food quantity—the design of the volunteer service project to help rural revitalization started in the summer of 2014. Relying on the Qinling Youth Envoys Association, during the summer of " Volunteer Activities for the Country People " survey in Zhouzhi, Zhenba, Meixian and other places, it was found that unsalable agricultural products were a major problem that restricts local economic development. With the goal of establishing agricultural product design service system, the team, through cooperation with leading enterprises, mobilizes scientific research resources of colleges and universities, improves the output, quality and economic value of agricultural products, helps to build regional big brands of agricultural products in Qinba mountain area, and helps local economic development. Over the past six years, it has helped more than 20 villages to set up more than 40 e-commerce shops such as Taobao and Jingdong, carried out more than 20 agricultural knowledge training sessions with 2500 participants, and increased the sales of more than 10 kinds of agricultural products by an average of 40%. The annual income of each aided village increased by 10000 yuan.

With the theme of “Youth Power Focusing on Rural Revitalization, NWAFU Students Helping Poverty Alleviation”, under the national poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategy, team members of the Rural Revitalization Aid Service Group give full play to the school’s resource advantages of combining “production, learning and research”, and in accordance with the principle of adapting measures to local conditions and different villages, through promoting the transformation of scientific research results, carrying out industrial development surveys, building youth practice bases and other measures, carrying out activities such as smart education support, scientific and technological support for agriculture, poverty condolences, publicity and promotion, and industrial assistance, and eventually realize the goal of youth boosting rural development in Northwest China.
