NWAFU Students Took Another Three Prizes at The 6th China International College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Co

On the morning of September 13th, the closing ceremony of The 6th China International College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (the Final of Shaanxi Province) was held at the Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. NWAFUers won 1 gold award for the main competition, 1 most commercial value award, 2 gold awards for the Project of Poverty Alleviation for the Old Revolutionary Base Area. Our university won the Excellent Organization Award in the Main Competition and the Project of Poverty Alleviation for the Poverty-Stricken Area.

Ever since the launch of this competition in July of this year, there have been 106 universities and colleges in Shaanxi pitched in, covering about 40, 000 projects and 184,000 participants. 180 items for main competition and 60 for the Poverty-Alleviation project stood out through the preliminary, running for the gold award of the Final. As required by the epidemic prevention and control measures, the competition was held online, where the panel reviewed the projects and challenge the contestants. There were 36 gold awards for the main competition and 20 for the other.

The gold awards of this session fully demonstrate the desirable outcome of our university’s educational philosophy and successful practice in combining the professional education with the innovation and entrepreneurship education, highlighting the characteristics and advantages of agricultural discipline. In addition, the mode of integrated team consisting of undergraduate, master and postgraduate, and the practice in project-based talent training have been proved successful. Our university will keep further promoting the departmental linkage, teacher-student collaboration, and the integration of undergraduate and graduate education, giving full play to the functions of competition-driven teaching, learning, and research fruits’ transforming. The competition, in more than one way, shows the innovative and entrepreneurial practices of NWAFUers’ high sense of reprehensibility in contributing to the development of agriculture and our nation.
