Two Young Teachers Won the 18th “Shaanxi Youth May 4th Medal”

On April 28th, the "Shaanxi Youth May 4th Medal” and the "Shaanxi Youth May 4th Medal Collective” commendation list were announced by the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Shaanxi Youth Federation.Professor Chen Diyi, deputy dean of College of Water Resources and Architectural Engineering, and Zhuo La, researcher of the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, won the honorary title of the 18th "Shaanxi Youth May 4th Medal”.As outstanding representatives of young people from all walks of life in the province, they have concentratively exhibited the spiritual character and value pursuit of contemporary Shaanxi youth, and provide a reference for contemporary youth to choose the right direction of life and growth path.

Chen Diyi, male, 36 years old, deputy dean of College of Water Resources and Architectural Engineering. He is committed to agricultural informatization and intelligent water conservancy high technology, actively exploring teaching reform. The students' evaluation of teaching reached 99.86 points. 84 SCI papers were published. He has received honors such as the Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor (Youth Project) and the Huo Yingdong Young Teacher Award.

Zhuo La, female, 31 years old, a researcher at the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation. Mainly engaged in agricultural water resources management research based on water footprint theory, the results have been recognized by international counterparts. Selected as a member of the National Youth Talents Program, the "Light of the West” scholar of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 30 scientific elites under 30 years old of Forbes China in 2018.
