On November 30th, Civilization Office of the Central Communist Party Committee revealed the November Chinese Good Fellows list in Kunming, Yunnan. 107 names of helpful, righteous, honest, and dedicated good fellows were listed, among which Professor Wang Hui from Northwest A&F University was selected as "Dedicated Good Fellows”.

72-year-old Professor Wang Hui has been dedicated to crop genetics and breeding research for over 40 years - considerable innovative results have been achieved in areas of wheat genetics and breeding theory, method research, and new wheat species breeding selection. In the year of 1991, species "Xi Nong 84G6”was cultivated, and another 11 new species were developed ever since.

Professor Wang Hui’s wheat species have been promoted to roughly 200 million mu area, among which "Xi Nong 979” covers 90 million mu with 4 billion kilograms of increment and 5.95 billion Yuan new income, which counts for a great contribution to national food safety.
