The year of 2015 is the nation’s sixth "month for respecting the elder”, themed by establishing a harmonious family where everyone is expected to respect the elder.
 "Month for respecting the elder” is an activity organized by China National Commission on Aging to call the whole society on to respect the senior citizens, in the very month when the traditional Chinese festival Double Ninth Day is celebrated. In recent days, NWAFU Commission on Aging has held theme picture exhibition at both north and south campus. The pictures exhibited, with text and pictures, vividly displayed the achievement on the work done to the elder.

NWAFU, regarding respecting the elder as a major goal, keeps improving the level of services, living security and conditions of activity for the retired staff. The university also attaches great importance to exploring their professional advantages to the full so as to accumulate more positive energy for establishing a world first-class agricultural university.
