Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese


On the morning of September 18th, 2015 for the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese People’s war of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition themed "Keep national missions in mind, Dare not forget national humiliation” was held at Xiu Shan Activity Center at south campus.
 

Wang Zhichang, a retired staff, made a speech on behalf of all the creators of the exhibition works. He said, the painting and calligraphy, a form of traditional Chinese culture, encouraged teachers and students to pass on the patriotism that for the rise and fall of the country. Everyone has his obligation, to uphold the national integrity that men face death unflinchingly and choose death before disgrace, to carry forward the heroic spirit of defying brutal suppression and fighting the enemy to the bitter end and to rejuvenate the triumphalism of being undaunted by repeated setbacks and stick-at-itiveness.

162 excellent works in total were displayed, including 89 calligraphy works and 73 paintings.



After the opening ceremony, the members of Calligraphy and Painting Association wielded their writing brushes, and presented their works to visitors.
