Prof. Chen Yulin’s research team from NWAFU, Prof. Qu Lei’s research team from Yu Lin College, together with Prof. Huang Xingxu’s team from Nanjing University, gained breakthrough progress in the research of cashmere goat genetic engineering breeding. 19 live Shaanbei cashmere goats (10 males, 9 females) with edited genes have been bred, which is currently the largest gene-edited goat group in China.

The project is funded by National GM Major Projects, State Natural Sciences Foundation, and Shaanxi Scientific Resource Plan, etc..
