September 7th saw the official build of inter-university relationship between Northwest A&F University and University of Tasmania Australia. Deputy President Luo Jun of NWAFU and deputy president of University of Tasmania signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Deputy President Luo Jun introduced NWAFU’s geographical advantages, university origins, merge history, and development process. NWAFU’s advantages in food production, resource utilization, ecosystem conservation, food safety, and regional development were also covered.

Deputy President Mike Calford briefed the basic information of University of Tasmania, and expressed his hope of two universities working together in the areas of agriculture & food, environmental science and engineering, landscape design, information and communication technology, etc..
