On July 20, led by College of Science, NWAFU visiting group arrived in California and started the 16-day visit. This summer visit program for undergraduates is co-operated by Northwest A& F University and University of California, Irvine (UCI).

In a taster class, Professor Philipe explained in details about how to find research interest and how to contact with professors and join their research team. "be in your own movie instead of watching move”, he said, to inspire students to work out their own study and research plan. He also suggested the students start preparation according to the program’s requirements.


"Secrets” in Labs


Lab Visit


At the sight of complicated and large laboratory apparatuses in Chemistry and Structural Biology Lab, students exclaimed with admiration. In Material Engineering and Information Technology Lab, Pro. Zheng Jianguo showed students how to operate the equipment. In Computer Science Lab, postgraduates displayed three robots they built.

Delegation also visited Harvard University, Yale University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Georgetown University, and other renowned universities. Students were able to fully experience American higher education and campus culture.
