 NWAFU Held Y2015 Deans Summit

On May 15th and 16th, the Y2015 Deans Summit was held at NWAUF International Communication Center, which is one of the big occasions of NWAFU College Affairs Management Year. To learn from the first-class universities of their experience in college management, our university invited deans of six renowned universities, Zhejiang University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northwest Polytechnical University, China Agricultural University, Jiangnan University, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Themed with the construction of top discipline and top college, the host and the guests exchanged their ideas via keynote speech.
All attendees took the summit a great opportunity to polish their own jade of college management. This brainstorm serves to help them identify opportunities to improve their work, which further inspires them to transform the approaches of development and enhance the management ability.
President Sun Qixin made a summary speech on 16th, where he highly appreciated this summit and further voiced his requirements: 1. To strengthen Colleges’ leadership construction; 2. To introduce talents per Colleges’ needs; 3. To decentralize the financial power to colleges; 4. To improve evaluation mechanism; 5. To authorize colleges to review scientific research program application; 6. To practice the international strategy at college-level.
