Wu Pute’s speech

Wu Pute introduced NWAFU’s active response to the Belt and Road initiative, sharing China's experience of poverty reduction and significant achievements in cooperation with Uzbekistan's agricultural universities in technical demonstrations, research collaboration, talent cultivation, and cultural exchanges. He also discussed NWAFU’s plans to establish a overseas compus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The goal is to strengthen the bond between Chinese and Uzbek agricultural education systems and to pioneer a collaborative higher education model between the two nations.

Wu Pute pointed out that the China-Central Asia Summit and the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, held last year, marked a new milestone in China-Uzbekistan relations. Both nations are fostering a tighter community of shared destiny and advancing the high-quality development of Belt and Road cooperation. This opens up possibilities for wider cooperation. Furthermore, the education cooperation between China and Uzbekistan is entering a new era of growth and seizing the fresh opportunities for development.

Wu Pute emphasized that the university regards this forum as a chance, guided by the Ministry of Education, to join hands with institutions, leverage each other's strengths and exchanging knowledge in educational cooperation with Uzbekistan. Together, the partners aim to achieve mutual success and start a new chapter of win-win collaboration.

The Sino-Uzbek Educational Forum, jointly organized by the education departments of both countries, saw the attendance of Chen Jie, Vice Minister of Education of China, alongside Komiljon Karimov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, and Farhod Arziev, Uzbek Ambassador to China.
