G20 and the “Belt and Road”Think Tank Conference Held in NWAFU Focusing on Innovation of Agricultural Science

On November 3, Group of 20 countries (G20 for short) and the "Belt and Road” Think Tank Conference were held in NWAFU. Experts and scholars from G20 countries, "Belt and Road”countries and some think tanks of international organizations discussed the theme of scientific and technological innovation to promote agricultural development. The conference formed 22 outcome documents.

The conference was divided into two sessions of the G20 Think Tank Conference Innovation Seminar and the"Belt and Road” Think Tank Seminar.

An outcome document containing 22 articles was announced at the closing ceremony of the conference.Participants believed that increasing agricultural productivity and income, actively strengthening global food security and improving nutrition, while enhancing the sustainable management of natural resources, requires enormous responsibilities.Only by relying on technological innovation can the international community work together to eradicate hunger and promote sustainable agricultural development, so that all people can get enough, safe and nutritious food at all times to live actively and healthily.Think tanks play an important role in providing scientific insights and addressing emerging challenges and issues.The delegates called on all parties to strongly support think tanks in carrying out agricultural activities and attach importance to relevant analysis and recommendations of think tanks.
