NWAFU’s 19th English Speech Contest Held

  On the evening of September 29th, the final of the 19th English Speech Contest for College Students and the "FLTRP Cup" National English Speech Contest Trial Competition, hosted by the office of academic affairs and undertaken by the Department of Foreign Languages, was successfully held.

  With the theme of "Challenge to All", the competition was divided into three sessions: prepared speech, impromptu speech, and on-site question and answer. In the prepared speech session, the contestants showed their talents, combined their own experience, closely connected with current affairs, and looked at challenges from various perspectives. The speeches covered many areas and hot topics such as emotion management, solidarity and cooperation, traditional culture, COVID-19, technological development, and global warming. Their fluent oralEnglish, solid foundation, and rich emotionsbring the theme into full play, which was fully recognized by the judges. In the impromptu speech and on-site Q&A sessions, the contestants elaborated on the selected topics and answered on-site questions.

  "FLTRP · Guocai Cup" National English Speech Contest is one of the three most authoritative and influential competitions in China. This competition has aroused widespread attention and active participation of NWAFU students. It provides a stage and opportunity for students to present themselves and communicate with each other, and it improves students' language application ability and thinking ability, and creates a strong English learning atmosphere throughout the university.
