Professor Zhu Hongbin
Basic Information
Professor Zhu Hongbin was born in Fengxiang County, Shaanxi Province in May 1971. At present, he is vice-dean of College of Humanities, Northwest A&F University, MA student supervisor of this university as well as a member of Chinese Agricultural history Association, vice executive secretary of Chinese Agricultural history Association. After graduating from Northwest University and got his Bachelor’s Degree in 1995, he was assigned to be a teacher in Northwest University of Agriculture, where he got his Master and Doctor degrees under the supervision of Professor Fan Zhimin—vice chairman of Chinese Agricultural history Association. From 2008 to 2009,he was invited to be a visiting scholar in Needham Research Institute.

Courses & Subjects
Professor Zhu has undertaken courses such as science and technology history of Chinese agriculture, History of Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchanges and so on for undergraduate students. Currently, he has supervised thirty graduates with master’s degree, having another fifteen postgraduate students under his supervision.
Academic Achievements
Chiefly engaged in the study of the History and culture of Chinese agriculture and the history of Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchanges, Professor Zhu has successfully directed and completed “Research of the agro-pastoral history and culture of Shaanxi Province”(Social Science Fund Subject of Shaanxi Province, 2006-2008), “Research of the introduction and indigenization of agricultural technology came from abroad ”( Social Science Subject of the Ministry of Education in 2011).
He has published Research on regional agricultural development during the Qin and Han dynasties and the history of Chinese agriculture and other Academic works.
In recent years, he has put more attention on researches of the History of Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchanges, studying on Chinese traditional agricultural heritage of agricultural technology and so on.
