Basic Information
M r. LI Songbai  was born in Huaxian County, Shaaxi Province in July 1964. At present, he is dean of College of Humanities and Development, Northwest A&F University, MA student supervisor of this university as well as a member of Chinese Sociological Association and Shaanxi Sociological Association. After graduating from Northwest University of Agriculture and got his Bachelor’s Degree there in 1987 and also got his Master’s degree there in 1990.Then, he was assigned to be a assistantive researcher in Research at the Shaanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1997, he went to Flensburg University to got his Master’s degree and during 1997 to 1998, he followed professor UweRehling to do some researches in development of rural society. In 1998, he went to Liebig University to get his Doctor’s degree and in 2000, he was assigned to be a teacher in College of Humanities and Development, Northwest A&F University, and in 2002, he has became a vice-professor.

Courses & Subjects
Vice-Professor Li has undertaken courses such as social work, Labor Sociology, Sociology of Population and so on for undergraduate students. At the same time, he is responsible for the teaching of Farmer Behaviour, Chinese rural population,community social work and so on for postgraduate students.
Currently, he has supervised forty graduates with master’s degree, having another twenty-five postgraduate students under his supervision.

Academic Achievements
Chiefly engaged in the study of the development of rural society,Vice-Professor Li has successfully directed and completed “Research of thequality of rural population in Shaanxi Province ”(important project of school’s humanities and science during 2006-2007), “Research on the current situation and evaluation of rural population in shananxi province”(Soft Science Subject of shananxi province in 2007), “Research on Effects of Guanzhong Folk Culture on New Rural Construction ”(Soft Science Subject of shananxi province 2012KR2-11 ), “Current Situation and Development of Human Resource of Poor Areas in Shananxi Province ”(Projects of Humanities and Science in School), “Research on the Civilization Village and Promotion of Population Quality”(Projects of Humanities and Science in School) and another 11 projects. “Research on the Effects of Temple Fair in Guanzhong Area on New Rural Construction”((Projects of Humanities and Science in School), and he also participated in many national ministerial or provincial research projects. He has successively published over sixty academic papers in Northwest A&F University Journal, Rural Economy Journal, Northwest University Journal Northwest Population Journal, Ecological Economy, Research of Agricultural Modernization, Agricultural Economy, Agricultural sciences in Hubei, Special Zone Economy,Journal of Sichuan Agriculture University, Guizhou Agricultural Science,Chinese Journal of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning Journal of Agrotechnical Economics, China Adult Education,Theoretical Exploration, Guangdong Agricultural Sciences, Anhui Agricultural Sciences, Science Economy Society, Development Study and other journalsIn recent years, he has put more attention on researches of rural population, rural social development and so on.
Vice-Professor Li has edited Social Survey Method , a teaching materia for agricultural universities, and he also edited his monograph Sex Social Work.
