1. Personal Details
Fang Yong, male, was born on July 9th, 1979, in Jiangxi Chongren. Yong Fang received his BEng, MEng, and PhD degrees from Xidian University, Xi'an China, in 2000, 2003, and 2005, respectively, all in signal processing. Then, he was appointed as a post-doctoral fellow for one year in Northwest Polytechnique University, Xi'an China. From Mar. 2007 to Feb. 2009, he joined Hanyang University, Seoul Korea, as a research professor. Currently, he is a Professor and PhD tutor with College of Information Engineering, Northwest A&F University.

Digital communications, Signal processing, Wireless sensor networks, Video coding and transmission, Distributed source and channel coding, Joint source-channel coding.

Undergraduate: Digital communications, Signal processing, C programming, Signal and system.
Graduate: Pattern recognition, Image analysis
4. Achievements
Since 2000, he has been engaged in video coding and transmission, distributed source coding. Currently, he holds a provincial project named “Applications of distributed coding in wireless sensor networks”. He has published more than 30 papers in international and domestic journals and conferences, e.g. IEEE Trans. Circ. Syst. Video Technol., IEEE Commun. Lett., IEEE Signal Process. Lett., Science China-Ser. F: Inf. Sci, etc.
