1. Personal Details:
Professor Lai Zhiyong was born in 1959 in Shaanxi, China. He is a tutor for master candidates. He graduated from Xian Jiaotong University in Jan. 1982, where he stayed to teach until Dec. 1996. He later received his M.S. and doctoral degree in the same University in 1984 and 1995 respectively. From 1997 to Nov. 2009, he worked as a senior engineer at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Shenzhen, China, Shenzhen Teletron Microelctronics Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China and Transdimension Co., Ltd. , CA, USA respectively. He has worked as a professor in College of Information Engineering, Northwest A&F University since Dec. 2009.

3. Courses
He taught distributed computer system, computer organization principal, microcomputer interface, assemble language, BASIC language and database. And he will teach embedded computer system, single-chip computer and its application, FPGA and its application.
 

4. Achievements
He has dealt with research in computer, communication and IC design. He took charge and/or joined tens of projects of research or design such as wireless computer network which awarded second price on 1985 national exhibition of microcomputer application, JUMP wide area computer network which awarded third price scientific-technical progress of Shaanxi province in 1991 and first price of excellent scientific achievement of Shaanxi Education Committee in 1990, adaptor between wire and wireless telephone which award second price of Shaanxi Education Committee in 1990 and first price on 1991 Shaanxi trade fair of technical achievement, full duplex communication apparatus without central control which awarded excellent item price on 1989 national exhibition of torch item achievement, sorting algorithm in parallel, MAC to implement ISDN based on CATV, Ethernet switch, coexistence of Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b without collision, MMC/SD controller, conflict-free method for multiple masters to access a slave, 32-bit embedded computer IP, and so on. He invented 6 patents and published 7 academic articles.
