1. Personal Details
Zhang Yang, male, was born in April, 1975, in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. Yang Zhang received his bachelor and master degrees of computer software in Northwestern Polytechnical University, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He received his PhD degree of computer software and theory in Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2005. He was appointed as a post-doctoral fellow for one year in National University of Singapore and one year in University of Queensland, Australia. Since 2006, he has been working in College of Information and Engineering in Northwest A&F University as a professor and supporting by Young Cadreman Supporting Program of Northwest A&F University. He worked as the head of software engineering department in 2008. And in June 2010, he was promoted to the vice dean of College of Information and Engineering.

3. Courses
Undergraduate: Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Java Programming.
Graduate: Data Mining.
He is currently supervising 11 master candidate and 2 PhD candidates.
4. Achievements
Recently, he presides and participates in 10 research projects including ‘Research on Uncertain Data Mining’, ‘Research on Bioinformatics and Data Mining’ and so on. When he did his post-doctoral research in Australia and Singapore, he joined in projects named ‘Data Streams Mining and Management’ funded by Australian Science Council and ‘Topic Tracking and Testing’ funded by Singapore Science Fund, respectively.
Prof. Zhang has published 33 papers in international and domestic journals and conferences, 6 of which are indexed by SCI and 13 of which are indexed by EI. Meanwhile, he also served on the program committees of some international conferences like PAKDD’08、PAKDD’09 and ADMA’09. He was elected as a member of Software Engineering Sub-Association of Shaanxi Computer Association in 2010.
