1. Essential InformationZhen-Wen Zhang, male, was born in September 1960. He is a renowned professor and doctoral tutor in the field of Viticulture, in College of Enology, Northwest A&F University.

2. Educational BackgroundHe graduated in July 1983 with a Bachelor degree in Pomology from College of Horticulture, Northwest A&F University. From 1986 to 1989, in-service studied for master's degree. In July 1989, he obtained his master's degree of Agronomy in College of Horticulture, Northwest A&F University. He now holdsthe position asdeputy director of Shaanxi Engineering Research Center for Viti-Viniculture, also serves as executive director in Chinese Society for Horticultural ScienceViti-Viniculture Chapter and Post scientist in National Technical System for the Grape Industry.
3. Research InterestsGrape Ecology, Grape Physiology, Grape Cultivation Techniques.
4. Teaching CoursesUndergraduate courses includeGrape Ecology, Ampelography, Viticulture, Vineyard Management,etc. Courses for postgraduate include Germplasm Resources of Grape, Grape Study Progress, Postgraduate Seminar, Grape Production Technology, etc.
5. Academic AchievementsIn 1995, his research of theories and methodology on grape disease-resistant breeding won second award ofthe state education commission science and technology progress prize. In 2000, his the new wine grapevarietyEcollyobtained second prize of Shaanxi science and technology progress. In 2002, research ofanti-disease genes replacement and accumulating on grape won second award of the he ministry of education natural science prize. In 2004, wine quality optimization research won the second prize of the ministry of education science and technology progress. In 2008, research onwine technology system and industrialization developmentin China won the first prize of Shaanxi science and technology progress. He edited Ampelography (Xi 'an map publishing house) and Grape Shelter Cultivation Techniques(Shaanxi science and technology press) in chief. He has published over 200 academic papers, 21 of those are included in SCI.
