RESEARCH interests
Working on potato molecular cytogenetics, germplasm enhancement and genetic breeding.
Achievements to Date
Breeding or co-development of 15 new potato cultivars with high yield, early maturity and disease resistance, especially the pigmented potato breeding subject is world-leading. Developed more than hundreds of new potato clones carry high starch and antioxidant contents. Initiated and co-ordinated as project leader, 20 international and national research projects with scientists from Canada, USA, England and Japan.
