Research field: Plant virology

Hao Xing’an, male,  associate professor, Doctor of phytopathology, master tutor.

The research filed of Doc Hao is plant virology, and focused on the wheat & apple virus. The aim of research is to reveal the disease mechanism of wheat & apple viruses. The lab is now researching the mechanism of viral symptom formation including yellowing, dwarfing and mosaic. Important breakthroughs have been made in the pathogenic mechanism of wheat virus, apple viruses detection and viral disease control. Research courses for graduate and undergraduate students include Plant Virology, Experimental Designs and Statistical Analyses, Biological Control of Plant Disease.
