In 2020, NWAFU submitted 60 applications for science and technology awards, including 5 for national awards, 22 for science and technology awards of Shaanxi province, 5 for Excellence Awards of Science Research for China’s Higher Education Institutions, 4 for LIANG Xi Award of Science and Technology in Forestry, 1 for China Patent Award, 3 for award of industry-university-research promotion, 8 for Shen Nong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, 2 for Da Bei Nong Science and Technology Award, and 10 for Science and Technology Awards of Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions. Among the 9 awards taken by NWAFU, there were 4 first prizes and 2 second prizes of Science and Technology Awards of Shaanxi Province, and 2 first prizes and 1 second prize at departmental level.

NWAFU won 543 State-authorized patents, including 140 inventive patents. 119 utility patents and 1 design patent. There were 59 new varieties or breeds certificated and registered. 4335 papers have been included by SCI, EI and SSCI.
