Duan Yuangu, professor and supervisor for master students, born in 1960s in Qishan, Shaanxi province, graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1988 and in the same year was designated to work in formerly Hanzhong Normal College. Later on in May 1991， he was transferred to Northwest A&F University (formerly Northwest Forestry College) and has been working in the university up to now.
Currently, he is the director of Department of Art in the College of Forestry, Northwest A&F University; director of Decorative Design Institute; people’s representative of YangLing NPC; member of Urban Planning and Construction Committee of YangLing Demonstration Zone; the University’s Model Teacher; member of China Association of Landscape Architecture; member of Artists Association of Shaanxi Province; member of Watercolor Association of Shaanxi Province and the vice-chairman of Artists Association of YangLing.
