1. General Information
Fan Shengcai, male, born in November 1951, native of Heyang County, Shaanxi Province. He graduated in 1974 from Northwest Agricultural University, and became a staff after his graduation. He used to work in the “Huoditang Teaching and Experimental Forest Farm” during 1980-1984. He has been working in the editorial department of the “Journal of Northwest Forestry University” from 1984. He now is the head of the editorial department as well as deputy editor-in-chief of the “Journal of Northwest Forestry University” with a title of Professor of Editorship. He also is the vice chairman of the “Journal Division of Chinese Forestry Society”, director of “Shaanxi Journal Society of Higher Learning”, and director of “Journal Society of Agricultural University” in China.

4. Achievements
The project “Breeding Technology of Hebei Poplar in Arid Area” which he took part in during 1978-1929 was got the second prize of science and technology progress award of Shaanxi Province. The journal he edited was highly approved and praised by his colleagues, readers, and experts for the high quality of the journal. He has received many awards issued by different organizations. The lists of the awards are as follows.
(1). Second prize, “Award of Shaanxi Provincial Excellent Scientific Journal” by Shaanxi Scientific Association, 1989.
(2). Third prize, “Award of Edition Quality of Shaanxi High Learning Journals (Science Edition)” by Shaanxi High Learning Administration Bureau, 1991.
(3). First prize, “Award of Excellent Journal of National High Learning” by the Ministry of Education of China, 1995.
(4). Second prize, “Award of Excellent Scientific Journal of Shaanxi ” by Shaanxi Government, 1996.
(5). First prize, “Award of Excellent Journal of Shaanxi High Learning” by Shaanxi Educational Committee, 1996.
(6). Second prize, “Award of Excellent Journal of National High Learning” by the Ministry of Education of China, 1999.
(7). First prize, “Award of Shaanxi Excellent Journal of High Learning” by Shaanxi Educational Committee, 1999.
(8). First prize, “Golden Plough Award of National Agricultural Journal, National Journal Association, 2006.
He also personally is the winner of “Excellent Editor” in 1988, 1989, 1995, and 1996 awarded by “Shaanxi Educational Committee”, “Ministry of Education of China”, “Shaanxi Journal Association”, “Journal Society of Shaanxi High Learning”, respectively. He received “Silver Ox Award” from “China Journal Association” in 1997, and conferred as “Editor Who Made Outstanding Contributions” by Shaaxi News and Publication Bureau in 1999. He has published over 40 papers related to forestry and edition.
