1． Basic Information
Mrs. Wei Qin is a Professor of the College of Forestory, Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University. She graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Noethwesten University in 1982, majoring in inorganic chemical engineering. After then, she worked in the Department of Forestry, Northwest Forestry University as a teaching assistant. During 1992 to 1993, she was in the Department of Food Technology, Messy University, Zewsland for advanced study. She got her Ph. D degree in 2005. He was appointed as a lecture in 1989, and an associate professor in 1996, and a professor in 2001. For a long time, she has been involved in teaching and scientific research work. She now is the chairman of the Department of Forestry Engineering of Forestry, College of Foresty of Northwest A&F University .
 

2. Teaching
Her teaching work involves giving lectures on “Technology for Tree Extractives” and “Principles of Chemical Engineering” to undergraduates and on “Chemical Engineering of Plant Chemical Constituents” to graduates. She has demonstrated teaching excellence over many years. Satisfactory results have been achieved in her teaching work. She was one of the excellent teachers awarded by the university in 2008.
 

3. Research Interests
Over the two decades, she has actively explored the application of chemistry in agricultural and forestry sciences. Her research interests mainly focus on phytochemistry and chemistry of biological resources, as well as the development and utilization of plant resources in the view of chemical engineering. She has been in charged in several projects issued by national organizations, such as “Shell of apricot processing technology ”, “Protein processing technology from apricot”, etc. Currently, she is carrying on the research work on pyrolysis, such as processing technology of wood vinegar and activated carbon.
 

4. Achievements and Publications
Several of her research achievements have been received rewards from provincial or ministerial levels. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 research papers.
