Introduction:
Dr. HansPeter Liniger is a Senior Research Scientist of Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) in University of Bern, the Director of the global network and initiative called World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies WOCAT. His professional focus on evaluation and dissemination of sustainable land management (SLM) including decision support for up-scaling SLM, local and regional impacts of SLM, dryland and watershed management, erosion risk mapping and effectiveness of conservation practices, teaching and supervision of students and training of professionals. He has over 10 years of field experience in Kenya in water conservation and watershed management, field visits and conducting training courses on documentation, evaluation and dissemination of SLM together with local partner organizations in Central Asia, Mongolia, China, Africa, Mediterranean countries, and Switzerland.
