Introduction of the speaker:
Liu Tongxian, Doctor of Entomology, University of Georgia, USA, Fellow of Entomological Society of America，National Distinguished Professor of Entomology，Vice Chair, University Academic Coucil , Director, Key Laboratory of Applied Entomology . His main research fields include the relationships among plants, herbivores and natural enemies, pest control, insect ecology and chemical ecology, insect behavior, sustainable pest management, biological adaptation and utilization of biological resources, pest population development and expansion mechanism, biological and environmental friendly pest management. Especially, the research on the biological control of insects and the three trophic relationship between plant insect and natural enemy has produced important international influence. He has published more than 250 SCI papers, published five monographs.
