Topic: calcium signal within plant under potassiumdeficiency
Speaker: Dr. Yu Long
Time: 10:00-12:00, Dec 23, 2016
Venue: 307 meeting room at the college of Natural Resources and Environment
Dr. Yu Long got his bachelor's degree from Shandong University in 2007 and his PhD degree from China Agricultural University in 2014. At present, he works as a post doctor at Professor Matthew Gilliham’s lab inthe University of Adelaide. Under the guidance of AcademicianWeihuaWu, his PhD thesis is mainly about the mechanism of plant nutrient efficient uptake and utilization. He has studied the function and molecular regulatory mechanism for rice potassium channel OsAKT1 by electrophysiological analysis and cooperated with many labs on electrophysiological analysis. Now, in the University of Adelaide, his research is mainly about the relationship between the anion channelALMT and plant hormone GABA and he cooperates with other researchers on the regulatory mechanism of phosphorus transporters in Arabidopsis and the regulation of calcium channelon plant development. He has published academic papers in Plant Cell and New phytol.
