Introduction of speaker:
Associate Professor Aruna Kilaru earned her B.Sci in Andhra University in 1991, M.Sci in Maharaja Sayajirao University in 1993 and Ph.D. in University of Louisiana in 2005, respectively. After working as a postdoctoral associate at University of North Texas from 2005 to 2009, she worked as a visiting scientist in Michigan State University. From 2011 to 2016, she was hired as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in East Tennessee State University in succession.
Her research interests focus on the molecular and biochemical regulation of lipid-mediated stress signaling and lipid biosynthesis in plants. Up to now, she has published more than 20 SCI papers in the top journals such as Plant Cell, PNAS, Plant Journal, Plant Physiology, Frontiers in Plant Science, BMC Plant Biology and PLOS One.
