Speaker Overview:
Prof. Qiaomei Wang
Professor in Institute of Vegetable Science and chair of Horticultural Department, Zhejiang University. The research interests in Dr. Wang’s laboratory are glucosinolate metabolic pathway and its relationship with quality and resistance of Brassica vegetables, regulatory network of carotenoid biosynthesis in tomato, and analysis of vegetable functional components and breeding of health-promoting cultivars. More than 30 papers has been published in International Journals, including Plant Cell, Molecular Plant, Plant Journal, Plant Biotechnology Journal and Journal of Experimental Botany in recent five years in her lab. She is the editorial board member of Scientific Reports, column editor in chief of Horticultural Plant Journal, the invited scientist in the Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences, CEPLAS, Germany, and reviewer of Research Grants Council of Hong Kong.
Dr. Congxi Cai
Post-doctor in Institute of Vegetable Science, Zhejiang University. Dr. Cai was awarded Bachelor Degree of Agriculture from College of Agriculture and Biotechnology of Zhejiang University, Master Degree of Science from UC Davis, and Ph.D of Agriculture from Zhejiang University. His research is mainly on the molecular mechanism of BR-mediated regulation on glucosinolate biosynthesis. His work has been published in Food Chemistry and Scientific Reports. He was  invited to give an oral presentation at the 2nd International Brassinosteroid Conference.
Mr. Haoran Liu
Ph.D candidate in Institute of Vegetable Science, Zhejiang University. Mr. Liu obtained his Bachelor Degree of Agriculture at the Northeast Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on the mechanism of BR-mediated regulation on tomato fruit quality. His two research papers have been published in Scientific Reports. He was also invited as a speaker in the 6th Yangtze River Delta symposium on plant biology.
