Introductions:

Dr. Jian-Bo Xie, was born in Shaoyang city of Hunan province in September, 1982. He entered Nankai University in 2001 and obtained his bachelor degree under the guidance of Prof. Qi-Lin Zhou. He then became a PhD candidate of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry, Nankai University, exempted from the examination, in Prof. Qi-Lin Zhou’s group. In 2010, he was awarded the doctorate of science, because of his achievements in asymmetric catalysis and synthesis. He joined Hansoh Pharmaceutical Corporation in Jiangsu province and became a group leader of new medicine. Shortly, he got a promotion and became a senior group leader in early 2011, due to the wonderful works there. He gave up the position and then accepted the recommendation to become a postdoctoral researcher in Texas Tech University with Prof. Guigen Li. His main interests there included chiral auxiliaries and asymmetric catalysis, while he took the charge of directing the research works of graduates, and doing many crossing research projects. In 2015, he became a research associate in New York University Abu Dhabi, and turned his interests to the design and synthesis of advanced materials. Now, he is pursuing the research of asymmetric catalysis and novel synthetic methodologies, and the syntheses of natural products and active compounds.
