Introduction of Speaker:
Dr. Jinxiao Yang obtained his Bsc. (in 2001) and M.S (in 2004) in the major of Horticulture from Northwest A&F University and obtained his Ph.D in the major of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Fudan University in 2008. After his Ph.D study, Dr. Yang joined the Syngenta company, a leading company in agricultural industry. He worked in the R&D department in the company and mainly focused on biotechnology for breeding, especially the off-target effect of the ZFN technology for three years. Dr. Yang then moved to Beijing DBN Technology Group in 2011, he is one of the founder of DBN biotechnology company. He is currently the PI and the director of DBN Genome Editing Lab. His lab focused on genome editing technology and its application in rice, maize, pig, fish, etc.
