About the Speaker: 
Dr. Ramaswamy is a professor of Department in Food Science, McGill University, Canada. He is an Editor of Journal of Food Engineering and editorial board members of several international journals. His research is focused on several areas of postharvest technology and food processing. He has published more than 300 academic papers and several books: Food Processing – Principles and Applications (Textbook); Handbook of Postharvest Technology; Ohmic Heating in Food Processing (In press); Postharvest Technology of Fruits and Vegetables (Textbook) (In Press) and so on. 
Dr. Ramaswamy got his master and PhD degrees from University of BC. Vancouver, B.C. Canada in 1980 and 1983. From 2002 to now, he works at Department in Food Science, McGill University, Canada. He has been a professional member of several societies: Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (Canada); Inst. Food Technologists, USA; American Society of Agricultural Engineering (USA); Canadian Society of Agricultural Engineering; Institute For Thermal Processing Specialists (USA); Assoc. of Food Science & Tech. (India).
