Introduction of Professor Xiansheng Zhang:

Prof. Zhang is a doctoral supervisorand the Vice president of Shandong Agricultural University.He is a member of ‘Expert Enjoying the Special Government of the State Council’, a member of the first and second level for "National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project’, the dean of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Agriculture Biology. He is also a scholar of the State Key Laboratory of Crop Biology and the ‘Chang Jiang Scholars Innovation Team’ of the Minstry of Education.His main research interests include the molecular basis of plant development and the plant genetic engineering.

Prof. Zhanghas been awardedwith over 42national fundings, includingthe National Transgenic Plantsand Industrialization Program, the 863 Program, the 973 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of Chinaand so on. He has published more than 300 papers in well-known journals (includingPlant Cell, Plant Journal, Plant PhysiologyandPlant Molecular Biology), among whichmore than140 are SCI-indexed papers.
