About the Speaker:
Jeyam Subbiah is an associate professor of Biological Systems Engineering and Food Science & Technology, University of Nebraska – Lincoln. His research is focused on applying food safety engineering using microwave and radio frequency systems.
Jeyam Subbiah got his bachelor, master and PhD degrees from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, University of Manitoba and Oklahoma State University in 1997, 1999 and 2004, respectively. From 2004 to now, he works at Biological Systems Engineering and Food Science & Technology, University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He has published more than 70 academic papers, gave 27 invited talks and got 6 academic awards. From 2007 to 2011, he was the associate editor of T. ASABE. Also he is the technical reviewer of 13 Journals. From 2015 to now he is the Chair of Graduate Committee in Biological Systems Engineering.
