Resume:
Qi-Li Feng, Professor of Entomology, Life Sciences of South China Normal University. He received his Ph.D. in September of 1995 by majoring crop science, did post-doctoral training in both NC State University and York University from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 to 2005, he worked as a research scientist and director of the molecular biology lab in the Center of Forest research at Great lake of Canadian Forestry Resources Research Center belong to the Ministry of Resource. From September of 2005 he has been professor in South China Normal University. He is serving as one of the organizing committee members of Biochemistry and Molecular biology of Entomological Society of China, Academic chair member of the IPM center of Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Managing Director of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Guangdong Province. He is also the sitting editorial member of Archive of Insect Biochemistry and Physiology. He has received many research grants including 2 NSFC grants, 1 provincial research grant and 1 key support grant from Guangdong Province, and a sub-grant of 863 project. Prof. Feng has published more than 40 scientific papers including papers in Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Insect Molecular Biology, Journal of Insect Physiology and BMC Molecular Biology. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of insect development as well as the insect-plant interactions.
