Speaker: Song-lin Huang, Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Social Work, Asia University, Taiwan
Short-bio of the speaker:
Dr. Song-lin Huang holds a PhD degree on Social Policy from The University of Newcastle upon Tyne, currently he is the director of the Department of Social Work in Asia University, Taiwan. The courses that he teaches include: theories and methodologies of social work, social policies and legislation, social welfare administration, social work management, social gerontology, aging social practices, etc. He is the president of the Association of Social Development Studies in Taiwan. He is doing survey on the elderly people living alone; other main research interests include community-based elderly care and mixed economy of care. He has many publications on design and monitoring of social work plans, research on the elderly care in the traditional urban communities, care services and methods of community care, the group encounter of nostalgia of the elderly, social care, etc.
The seminar is open to all the students and staff members in NWAFU.
