Introduction of Speaker:
Prof. Rattan Lal, is director of the School of Environment and Natural Resources at Ohio State University. His extensive experience in a wide range of soil science and related fields spans five decades involving professional positions In North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Rattan's research interests include soil processes and greenhouse effects, soil wetness and anaerobiosis, sustainable management of soil and water resources, restoration and rehabilitation of degraded soils, conservation tillage, agroforestry, tropical agriculture, natural resources management with emphasis on food security and environmental quality, and agricultural development in the Third World.
His published work includes 12 Books written, 361 Chapters in multi-authored books, Total Publications: 1649, Science Citation h-Index: 94.
