Introduction of Speaker : Dr. Fei Yu was born in May 1975 and is currently a professor at College of Life Sciences, Northwest A&F University.Dr. Yu received his Bachelor of Science degree majoring Biology from Nanjing University in 1997. In 2000, he earned his Master of Science degree of Botany from Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Yu went on to study in the United States and received his Ph.D. degree majoring in Plant Physiology from Iowa State Universityin 2005.From 2005 to 2009, he continued his post-doc research work at Iowa State. In 2009 Dr. Yu jointed Northwest A&F University as a faculty member and was selected into the New Century Talent Of Excellence Program of Ministry of Education. Dr. Yu’s work is focused on model plant species Arabidopsis thaliana and his lab is working on the functions of regulatory genes of plant growth and development.
