On February 19th, the review meeting on Shaanxi’s Experience in Rural Revitalization , one of the training materials for developing the professional competence of provincial-level leading cadres, was held at our university that is known as the cadre education training centre of Shaanxi.

After the debriefing, enquiry and discussion, the panel fully recognized the material for its right direction, strong emphases, clear targets and well-formed layout. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era , the material embodies the unity of policy, theory as well as practice, and meets the requirements of the training materials for cadre education in the new era.

Selected from the milestones and experience that Shaanxi has achieved, the 30 cases in the material perfectly demonstrate successful practice and experience as well as new progress and achievements in the province’s effort on rural revitalization and poverty alleviation. These cases will offer reference and experience for promoting the professional ability of cadres.

Approved by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Shaanxi’s Experience in Rural Revitalization is a competence-based training material that is geared to leading cadres in Shaanxi. Starting from January 2019, the material compilation was undertaken by NWAFU as the cadre education training centre. Adhering to the overall requirement of building rural areas with “thriving businesses, pleasant living environments, social etiquette and civility, effective governance, and prosperity” as well as the goal of winning the battle against poverty, the material is composed of six sections, namely industrial revitalization, talent revitalization, cultural revitalization, ecological revitalization, organizational revitalization, and poverty alleviation. With five outstanding cases for each, every section is divided into five parts, including the background, main approaches, important inspirations, review and comment, and reflection questions.
