On November 6th, Till Backhaus, minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, and Consumer Protection of Germany Mecklenburg-states of the former Beimorui, led his delegation to visit Northwest A&F University. Delegates included the ministry officers, business representatives, and experts from University of Rostock, Leibniz Agriculture Animal Biology Research Institution, Research Institution of Mecklenburg-states of the former Beimoru, and College of Neubrandenburg.

Deputy President Luo Jun met the delegation in Communication Center. He introduced NWAFU’s history, professional development, Yang Ling Forum, agricultural promotion, and international communication. He wished through this visit, experts from both sides can further cooperate in areas of food production, animal husbandry, and pest control.　

Minister Till Backhaus said, through this first time Mecklenburg-states of the former Beimorui visiting Yang Ling, they learnt the town’s significance for China’s agriculture. He hoped the two parties can find suitable point of entry for future cooperation.

German Delegation also visited NWAFU’s Agri-Sci-Tech Promotion Exhibition Room, and laboratories in College of Horticulture and College of Animal Science and Technology.
