NWAFU Held Flag-raising Ceremony for the Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression

On the early morning of September 3rd  2015, thousands of freshmen at NWAFU gathered together in front of the No.3 building and participated in the Flag-raising ceremony for the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression. With solemn and sacred national anthem, the bright five-star red flag rose toward the morning breeze. The teachers and students present saluted with eyes and expressed their sincere respect to the ancestors sacrificed in the war.
 
After the ceremony, Gao Jie, a student representative, addressed an impassioned speech. He said, "As a contemporary college student, we dare not forget the spirit of arduous struggle in the war and we should carry forward sacrificed warriors’ patriotic spirit, work with stamina and diligence, and constantly strive to be stronger.”

This flag-raising ceremony commemorated the 70th anniversary of Chinese people’s great triumph, warned the students of remembering history and treasuring peace and inspired their patriotism.
