4 Students from Affiliated High School of NWAFU Received Russian Government Funding to Study Abroad

Recently, after pre-selection examinations and interviews, four students from affiliated high school of NWAFU, Song Jiaxing, Chen Linfeng, Wang Yuhao, and Lei Haoxiang were admitted by the Russian People’s Friendship University, Moscow Technological University, Peter’s University of Technology in St. Petersburg, and Moscow Technical University.

It is reported that the government-sponsored study abroad program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cooperation of Russia is part of the 100 thousand Overseas Study Plan of the China-Russia Humanities Cooperation Action Plan signed by China and Russia. It is specifically implemented by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, and is a publicly funded Russian scholarship for study abroad. Chinese students who are subsidized can receive scholarships provided by the Russian government and preferential policies for exemption from tuition fees and accommodation fees. The project involves the Russian People's Friendship University, Moscow State Research University of Technology (MISiS), Peter’s University of Technology in St. Petersburg, Moscow Power University and other famous Russian universities. The length of schooling is 5 years, including 1 year preparatory course plus 4 years’ undergraduate course. The affiliated high school of NWAFU and Xianyang Experimental High School are the "excellent student base” as the project carried out the selection examination in Shaanxi for the first time.
