The 1st Food Science Houji Young Scholar Forum

On September 26th, “Houji Young Scholar Forum and the 1st Food Science Young Scholar Forum” was grandly held in Northwest A&F University. Over 300 participants including experts, young scientific researchers and teachers, post-doctors, and postgraduates from Jiangnan University, Nanjing Agricultural University, and NWAFU, as well as company representatives, attended the forum.

Food nutrition and health, food safety and control, and food process engineering were the three main contents for discussion. With focus on the topical issues in food industry, food study, and food science research, the forum aimed to accelerate the healthy development of Chinese food industry and satisfy the public’s needs of nutrition and health through in-depth conversations. Prof. Li Zhaofeng from Jiangnan University – outstanding young scholar for National Natural Science Foundation of China, Prof. Liu Rong from Nanjing Agricultural University – candidate of the Recruitment Program for Young Professor in the Thousand Talents Plan, and Prof. Wang Li from NWAFU - candidate of the Recruitment Program for Young Professor in the Thousand Talents Plan gave invited talks respectively.
