On October 31st, Dr. TassosHaniotis, the director in the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, visited NWAFU. President Sun Qixin met with the guest.

President Sun Qixinintroduced Yang Ling Demonstration Zone’s and NWAFU’s history and development. With efforts, NWAFU has now established a promotion system of scientific research, demonstration, and training. Scientific technology promotion has been bridged between farmers and researchers. Such promotion mode has been confirmed and supported by the central government.

Dr. TassosHaniotis said his visit this time would built preliminary contact with NWAFU, and in the future, he hoped to explore agricultural solutions with NWAFU by launching various collaborations in diverse disciplines.

During the visit, Dr. TassosHaniotis delivered a speech in regards to“Common Agricultural Policy and Reform in European Union”.
