Notice of Academic Report “Microwave food processing: Principles behind process and product design”

Author: Date:2016-12-20

Short course titles: Microwave food processing: Principles behind process and product design

Speaker: Professor Ashim K Datta

Time: 9:00-12:00, Dec 20, 2016

Venue:Multi-media classroom, College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering

About the Speaker:

Dr. Ashim K Datta is a professor of Department in Biological and Environmental Engineering, Cornell University, USA. His research is focused on fundamental study of heat and mass transport relevant to processing of food and biomaterials. In food applications, they combine models of transport in a shrinkable/swellable system with models of microbiological growth and destruction to predict food safety.

Dr. Ashim K Datta got his master degree from University of Illinois in 1982 and his PhD degrees from University of Florida in 1985. From 1987 to now, he works at Department in Biological and Environmental Engineering, Cornell University, USA. He has published more than 90 academic papers.
